Today I did something that I haven’t done in a very long time. I had the opportunity to go for a nature walk. My Mom has started a little big year. For those who don’t know a big year is something that bird enthusiasts undertake. They spend the year trying to spot and identify as many bird species as possible. I mentioned that I would love to go with her and take my camera to try and get some photos for her and one of my goals this year is get back to basics and the true love of photography that caused me to buy my camera in the first place.
Today was sunny and cold but we had so much fun. I will let my Mom tell the birding side of our adventure. Her blog can be found at:
There are some pictures of birds, they are not the best I have ever taken however they did the trick and we both learned that it’ll cost about $10,000 to get the lens that would be really good for bird photography.
On the other side it was so nice to go out and take pictures, to enjoy nature and laugh with my Mom. Here are my 3 noteworthy photos from today. I’m hoping to publish many more photos like this through the year.
